National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

The Province of Manitoba and the Department of Education have confirmed that Thursday, September 30, 2021, is a National Day for Truth and Reconciliation to mark the first official day that our country will collectively honour and remember residential school Survivors.
There will be no school on this day, and all Kelsey School Division schools and buildings will be closed as a day of observance.

Bill 64

Eliminating school divisions and moving schools under one authority means creating a bigger, disconnected, centralized bureaucracy that is not in tune with local students’ and communities’ needs.
